The hotel had amazing facilities, including a front room with a cozy fireplace, massage chair, and a unique aquarium. The location was ideal, with easy access to the mountain escalator, bars, restaurants, and a public onsen. The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly, with the manager always available to answer questions and provide directions. The breakfast, especially the traditional Japanese set, was delicious.

We got great value for our money with a welcoming host family, friendly staff, and comfortable rooms. The location was convenient with an Onsen just steps away, and there was even a delicious steamed bun street stall nearby.

The morning meal could be improved with more variety in the Western breakfast options.

Utopia Nozawaonsen is ideally located just around the corner from the bustling main street, making it convenient to explore the local cafes and restaurants. It's also close to the gondola, allowing easy access to the slopes. The spacious rooms are comfortable and traditional, with soft futons and sliding doors that open up to a lovely garden. The shared bathrooms are impeccably clean, and the breakfast options, such as the homemade traditional Japanese breakfast set, are a delicious treat. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, going above and beyond to ensure a pleasant stay.

It's unfortunate that the recommended ski rental shop, La Fit, did not meet expectations. The limited selection of skis, lack of knowledge from the staff, and poor adjustments made for an unpleasant experience.

I appreciated that the room was spotlessly clean and huge with great view as well as tatami mats. The location was amazing, at a moderate distance from Stay.

Absolutely mind-blowing hospitality from the owners, Tomi and Kaori, who went above and beyond to make our stay super memorable. Tomi even drove us to the gondola station every day and helped me when I injured myself. Kaori surprised our kids with small gifts on our last night. The location was perfect, just minutes away from everything. The clean and spacious room made our stay jaw-droppingly comfortable. Highly recommended!

During our Christmas stay, we were pleasantly surprised by the spacious and well-lit rooms at the hotel. The traditional Japanese rooms provided a charming atmosphere, and we enjoyed the beautiful view of the snow-covered mountain slopes in the distance. The friendly staff went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable, offering delicious vegetarian breakfast options and providing helpful information about dining, ski rentals, and local onsen. the location of the hotel was convenient, being close to various restaurants and not far from the bus stop.

While our overall experience was positive, there were a few minor drawbacks to our stay. the shared toilet situation was not ideal, especially for families.

the rooms are huge and brand-new, with a storage space and large windows. the staff are superbly friendly and extremely polite as well as the host family.

The rooms at Nozawa Onsen Utopia were super cozy and comfortable. I loved sleeping on the tatami floor with the Japanese futon bedding, it was such a unique experience!

Personally, I wasn't a fan of the shared bathrooms. But hey, I understand some people might actually enjoy the communal vibe.

The lounge area with the gas fire was a cozy spot to relax, and we loved having the free coffee, tea, and cocoa. Our room was spacious, warm, and comfortable, and breakfast was a highlight with delicious Japanese options and unlimited tea, coffee, and juice. The location was perfect, with easy access to the gondola, walkway, onsens, and all the great restaurants and cafes in town.
